Liverpool striker Luis Suarez looks set to face a Football Association investigation after manager Brendan Rodgers labelled his biting of Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic “unacceptable”. “Having reviewed the video footage and spoken to Luis, his behaviour is unacceptable and I have made him aware of this,” said Rodgers. The player issued his own apology – something he failed to do adequately when found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra last season, for which he was banned for eight matches – first on Twitter and then via an official club statement. “I am deeply sorry for my inexcusable behaviour earlier today during our match against Chelsea,” he said. “I have issued an apology and have tried to contact Branislav Ivanovic to speak to him personally. I apologise also to my manager, playing colleagues and everyone at Liverpool Football Club for letting them down.” Later in the evening, Suarez returned to Twitter to say he had spoken personally to Ivanovic. “I’ve just spoken to Ivanovic on the phone and I could apologise directly to him. Thanks for accepting,” he wrote. Ayre, having been one of many criticised for a lack of leadership during the Evra affair, took personal charge of the situation and held a meeting with Rodgers after the match in which they reviewed footage and formulated their response. “Luis has made an unreserved apology for his actions,” said Ayre. “His behaviour is not befitting of any player wearing a Liverpool shirt and Luis is aware that he has let himself and everyone associated with the club down. We will deal with the matter internally and await any action from the FA.” Press Association The Uruguay international’s equaliser in the seventh minute of added time to secure a 2-2 draw was lost in yet more controversy to engulf the 26-year-old. Managing director Ian Ayre cancelled a scheduled flight to Australia, where he was due to promote the club’s pre-season tour, to deal swiftly with the fall-out having learned lessons from previous public relations disasters. He described Suarez’s behaviour as “not befitting of any player wearing a Liverpool shirt” and said he would be dealt with internally – most likely by way of a heavy fine. Liverpool stopped short of imposing their own ban on the striker but he is likely to be ruled out for the remainder of the season once the FA’s disciplinary process kicks in.
Pro-golfer and Jupiter resident Tiger Wood, has been implicated in a wrongful death lawsuit in regards to his restaurant. The lawsuit filed Monday, claims that Tiger, his girlfriend, and the Woods Restaurant manager Erica Herman, are partly responsible for the death of 24-year-old Nicholas Immesberger who worked at the restaurant as a bartender. The lawsuit claims that Woods and others at the restaurant knew that Immesberger was an alcoholic and that he attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings but would knowingly over serve him alcohol regularly during and after his shift. The suit also claims that restaurant employees also knew of an alcohol-related crash that Immesberger was involved in, in November before the fatal crash that took his life.Immesberger lost control of his car in Martin County on December 10th of 2018.According to the crash report, Immesberger had a blood alcohol level of 0.28, over three times the legal limit at the time of the crash.Immesberger’s parents reported that on the night of his death, Immesberger finished his shift at 3:00 pm but sat at the bar drinking until 6:00 pm. At that point, he left the bar in his vehicle.A police report stated that Immesberger was driving around 70 mph in a 55 mph zone when he lost control of his corvette and overturned in a grassy area Federal Highway and Colonial Drive near Port Salerno. The parents believe that Woods and restaurant employees had a personal responsibility to prevent Immesberger from drinking so much knowing he had a disease and that they also had a personal responsibility to prevent him from getting into a vehicle after they knew he had been drinking. So far there has been no comment from the Woods camp regarding this lawsuit.

Other Artists with several nominations include Georgee B. Togar Howard and G-Rize, with five respectively.Joseph Dean and K-Zee were the only local artists who obtained four nominations.LMA country representative Joseph Junior Teah said for the nomination process of this year LMA has asked local and international Liberian DJs to summit their top best five playing songs to the executive committee, because DJs determine the number one song that is felt by the public.LMA remains committed to the promotion of the Liberian music industry and plans are underway to recruit locally based artists as we did last year to give them exposure, says Teah. He added that they are also making arrangements across ten states to begin a tour for artists that were selected and recruited last year.He said LMA is doing all it can to get the GSM companies in Liberia involved, which could be a way of creating avenues where Liberians can vote for their favorite artists by just using their mobile phone and that this will be the first of its kind for the industry. Sources said this year LMA will be witnessed live on YouTube come June 27 in Atlanta, Georgia and a poll of voters will be announced later. He added that momentum for LMA has been encouraged among Liberians resident in the United States and that negotiations are being implemented to bring the 2016 edition back home to Liberia.1.
