Oppo F9, F9 Pro receive Bluetooth certification, may launch soon

first_imgThe Oppo F7 was launched in India earlier this year and it looks like the company is ready to bring out its successor soon. As Oppo has a tendency to skip a number when it comes to naming its phones, the next device in the F-series is set to be called the Oppo F9 and it could launch as soon as August. A teaser spotted recently suggests the Oppo F9 will bring a dual rear camera setup with LED flash. Additionally, the device also passed through Bluetooth certification last week and it seems there may be an Oppo F9 Pro model as well. The Oppo F9 was spotted with model numbers CPH 1823, CPH 1825, CPH 1881. Notably, the CPH 1823 model is associated with both the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro while the other two seem to be regular variants of the Oppo F9. Bluetooth certification does not provide any details about the device apart from the LTE bands it will support. However, it seems the Oppo F9 sports the same Bluetooth module as the Oppo F7 and Realme 1, suggesting the upcoming F9 and F9 Pro will be powered by a Helio P60 chipset. There’s is a fair deal about the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro that is still a mystery including its design. A leaked teaser spotted recently only suggests that the Oppo F9 will be the first in the F-series to bear a dual camera setup, which means you can expect depth support. The series has largely focussed on the selfie camera so we should expect some upgrade to the front camera over the Oppo F7 as well. Like the Oppo F7, you can expect the Oppo F9 to sport a display notch as well, but nothing has been suggested as of yet.advertisementAs the Oppo F7 has been launched in India, we expect the F9 to come to the country as well. The device is also expected to carry a similar price tag of over Rs 20,000 in India. The latest report suggests the Oppo F9 Pro will only be offered in select markets, so there’s some uncertainty on whether India will be one of them.last_img
