Asus ZenFone AR with Android 7.0 Nougat, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage will go official this summer

However, Asus in an email statement to India Today Tech the company revealed that they will only showcase the ZenFone AR on June 14 in Taiwan, and will not launch it. Earlier, Dinesh Sharma, Director and Mobile Product Centre of ASUS India in an exclusive interview with India Today Tech revealed that the upcoming Asus ZenFone AR will come to India in the coming two months, which is sometime around August.”ASUS will be having an event in Taiwan on June 14th, and while the ZenFone AR will be a part of it, it will not be launching then, nor has ASUS publicly specified a launch date for the upcoming smartphone. But, that’s not going to be the case. Asus ZenFone AR is set to launch this summer with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Asus in the email statement noted, “The ZenFone AR will come with the Android 7.0 Nougat OS with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.” The company also said, “The ZenFone AR is the world’s first Tango enabled and Daydream-ready phone, meaning it will provide high-quality virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences. While, on the camera front, the upcoming Asus ZenFone AR will come packed with a 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 module coupled with features like — TriTech+autofocus system, dual-PDAF, second-gen Laser Focus, and continuous-focus. The rear camera of the upcoming Asus device also supports 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilisation), 3-axis EIS (electronic image stabilisation) for video recording and is also capable of recording 4K video. On the front, the device will feature an 8-megapixel selfie shooter which comes coupled with an f/2.0 aperture and an 85-degree wide angle lens as well. However, for now, these specs should be taken with a pinch of salt.Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom is also coming soon. He further says, “We’re going to be shortly launching the ZenFone 3 Zoom and the ZenFone AR in India. A fair time frame would be within two months.” However, Asus may not launch the ZenFone 3 Zoom and ZenFone AR together in one go though and could announce it one at a time. “These products are ready so they could come one after the other. Which one comes first and which comes second, is something I cannot precisely confirm as of this moment,” Sharma adds.last_img
